For my community service I decided to help teach other kids about longboarding, and how cool it is. I made sure to let them know how important safety gear is, how to skate safely, and just common curtsy toward people that may be walking by or cars. I first showed them how to stand on the board and go forward. Then how to brake and stop. After they had gotten that down, went went over to do some downhill skating. I will be the type of black belt who works hard for what I want and will not give up easily. I will succeed in most things and help other where help is needed.

Alexie Sherman is an author of many books that have been censored. I respect the fact that he uses his freedom of speak to portray his stories, and that he isn't intimidated into writing his books how some people would think is right. That is why he is my hero.

Daniel Rowe is a friend of mine who longboards, he recently got in an accident and went to the hospital for several days. I admire him because even though he got hurt while longboarding he's going to continue on because it's something he loves doing.

My eighth grade science teacher, Mrs. Bamer is one of my living heros because they way she taught me, and how courageous she is, helping out the Earth. She inspired me to go out and go green to help save our Earth.

I chose my dad as one of my living heros because he shows me that if I work hard it will pay off. My dad has a job as a doctor which he has been working for for since I was a baby. He also does a lot of yard work and work around the house, showing me that if you really work hard at something you care about it'll eventually pay off, and you will succeed.

I chose my cousin Curtis as one of my living heros because he is part of what inspired me to take up martial arts in the first place. He got his black belt when he was about my age, and just kept on going from there. He became the Rhode Island state champion for his age group, and for this I idolize him.
