Black Belt Essay Questions and Recommendation letters --Jido Abby

  1. What are my goals upon having reached black belt for my future training and learning

One of my main goals is to improve on my technique and speed. (especially with my doubles and triples) I also would like to get to know the forms better, so my moves will be more accurate. I aim to be a better leader, and be a good leader to the lower belt

2. What kind of black belt will I be?

I will be a respectful and strong black belt. I will be a black belt that not only focuses on kicking technique, but respect towards others. I will also be as much as a leader as I can to my peers.

Two letters of recommendation:

Abby has always been a wonderful granddaughter. I have noticed that thru her participation in martial arts that she has become even more disciplined and self reliant. She is an exceptional student and is involved in the gifted program. She studies hard and completes all her assignments in a timely manner. She is an avid reader and an excellent artist. Abby participates well with her family and takes responsibility of some family duties such as regularly walking the family dog. She exhibits good leadership qualities and has advanced to a level where she assists younger students in the martial arts program. In general I believe she is a wonderful candidate for the black belt and will serve as a good example to others showing the benefits derived from personal growth through the martial arts program. In addition, she is a loving grandaughter and I appreciate being a part of her life.

Respectfully,

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Abby McPherson for advancement in her self-defense program. I have known Abby for three years now and I can honestly say that I have taught few students with her commitment and willingness to work hard. Additionally, she is thoughtful and always looking out for others. Abby will represent your organization with style and a mature manner. She is a great candidate for advancement.
