My Living Heroes

1. My first hero is my mom because she has always been there for me when I needed her. Another reason she is my hero is because she dragged me into the old Mercer Island Martial Arts and made me join. The final reason my mom is my hero is because she loves me and cares about me.

2. My second hero is my dad because he teaches me many things about computers and technology. Another reason my dad is one my hero is because he gives me good ideas for school projects and reports. The final reason my dad is one of my living heroes is because he dedicates a lot of his time to make sure I am happy.

3. My third living hero is my fourth grade teacher Ms. Odell. Ms. Odell is one of my living heroes because when I was in fourth grade she taught me so many things about learning that I used the techniques she taught me in fourth grade and used them in fifth grade. Another reason she is one of my living heroes is because in fourth grade she pushed me extra hard so I would do my best on all assignments. The final reason she is one of my living heroes is because she would not let me use the words good, nice or fun because in writing we use those words too much so I had to use more creative words.

4. My fourth living hero is the men and women who sacrifice their lives every day to save us. Another reason solders are one of my living heroes is because they chose to risk their lives every day 24 hours a day to save this country. The final reason the men and women in the army are my living heroes is because when I think about them I think about the men and women who have children at home, but still they go and fight to win a battle that has been going on too long.

5. My fifth living hero is emergency room doctors. Emergency doctors work all day caring for patients who have had heart attacks, strokes and many more life threatening conditions. They also have to be cleaver and think of many things at one time. They also have to have a good memory because there are so many parts of the body and they have to memorize them all to be successful.

6. My sixth living hero is Chesly Sullenberger. Landing a plane in the Hudson River is not an easy task, but landing a plane in the Hudson River and no one dying is a miracle. He is one of my heroes because when someone lands a plane in water it shows me that with training anything is possible. It also tells me that at any moment you may have to save a life. The final reason he is my hero is because he taught me that anyone can save a life.

7. My seventh living hero is my best friends because when I am upset my friends always make me feel better. Another reason my friends are my heroes is because we make each other feel special and important which is one of the key things in a good friendship. The final reason my friends are my heroes is because they are always there for me when I am feeling down or just want someone to play with.

8. My final hero is the police because when I here that a policemen has died I think of how a person could be so cruel. Policemen are my heroes because they have to be quick and smart and ready for action. Other reason policemen are my heroes are because they know that any day they could be killed and yet they live each day like it is their last. The final reason policeman are my heroes is because they have to be brave and ready for action.
